I’m a nutter for peanut butter
I eat it everyday
I smear it on a piece of toast
And head out on my way
I’ll slice up an apple
And add a scoop of PB
It makes the perfect snack
For when I am hungry
But today I learned the truth
And it doesn’t go down easy
What I learned about peanuts
Makes me feel quite queasy
It’s nuts
That peanuts are not nuts
The truth
Is that peanuts are legumes
They grow underground in pods
Isn’t that quite odd?
It’s nuts that peanuts are not nuts
All my life I believed
That things were as they seems
But the peanut lied and now my heart is broken
I just don’t know
It’s all gone up in smoke
Someone wake me from this dream
Take back the lies and the deceit
It’s nuts
That peanuts are not nuts
The truth
Is that peanuts are legumes
They grow underground in pods
Isn’t that quite odd?
It’s nuts that peanuts are not nuts
